With the gracious sponsorship from Beat Drugs Fund, “Crisis Accommodation Personal Strength
Building Programme” offers non-residential drug treatment services based on a medical-social
collaboration model, that combines occupational treatment and CLD services. In line with the
interests of service users and vocational skills training, the various activities can help youths
develop positive interests and improve their personal development skills. In addition, connections
with merchants in the community and stakeholders from the business community have also been
formed to provide rehabilitees with work trials and job opportunities. As of today, a hundred young
drug abusers have been benefited from this programme with enhanced career adaptability and
employability, being free of drugs and setting off the journey of rehabilitation.

“No more chills in Psychedelic Forest” is another drug prevention and counselling intervention
scheme sponsored by Beat Drugs Funds, that aims at strengthening the anti-cannabis education in
tertiary educational institutions and building up their students’ awareness and knowledge on the harm
of cannabis through social networks, new technology, “real escape games”. The scheme provided
treatment to young cannabis users by adopting narrative therapy and through case counselling with
elements such as mindfulness, trendy sports and arts, horticulture, Chinese and Western medicine,
sex therapist counseling and more. With intervention from individual to social levels, including
outreaching services, therapy group, tertiary education, parent education and community exhibition,
young people using cannabis were encouraged to tell their inner stories, take deep reflection and
rebuild their lives from scratch for the future.

In “One Heart, One Goal”, a scheme jointly organized by North District Office and District Fight
Crime Committee (North District) and sponsored by Beat Drugs Fund, the North District Overnight
Outreaching Team carried out a series of anti-drug activities, which include sports and arts training
groups, news anchor training, volunteer services, medical support and more. With over 80 high-
risk youths benefited from these positive activities, they received the assistance needed to resume a
healthy lifestyle and build up their knowledge on the harm of the drugs.

“Anti-drug Community Awareness Building Programme 2020” was a joint programme sponsored by
Beat Drugs Fund and co-organized by Ma On Shan Youth Outreaching Social Work Team, District
Fight Crime Committee (Sha Tin District), Counselling Centre for Psychotropic Substance Abusers
and 3 other youth outreaching teams in the district whose service targets were high-risk youths.
Educational activities had been held online to raise public awareness and understanding about drug
issues and strive for synergy effects among stakeholders to create a healthy, drug-free community for
the youths. Examples of the activities include inviting Internet essayists to write stories about fighting
drug addiction for young rehabilitees, and sending graphics and short clips that contain anti-drug
information to approximately 2,000 members of the community.

In addition to free Chinese medicine consultation services available in the evening and overnight,
