            Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you because the whooping cranes are endangered and greater public
awareness is needed. This vulnerable species lives in the wetlands of North America. As of
2016/17, there are only approximately 600 whooping cranes still alive in the world.

The major threats are over-hunting by poachers, pollutions, deforestation and human
disturbances. There is a strong correlation between these activities and the big birds becoming
homeless and destitute. Eventually, the species is unable to self-sustain.

I know that the WWF has extra funds. Spurring a little to increase public awareness via
exhibitions and campaigns could dramatically improve the situation. Furthermore, building
more sanctuaries is another option that you may consider. With your support, the population of
the whooping cranes will definitely increase in the future.

            Best wishes,
            Abraham
