Box of Hope

I was excited to participate in a programme called “Box of Hope” and I want to share the

process of making the box and my feelings about the whole activity.

First, I took an old shoe box and wrapped it up nicely. After the box was well decorated, I

started to put things inside. I put in some wet tissue, tissue paper and a blue towel as necessities.

Then I got my favourite model aeroplane and put it in as well. I chose it because I really do want

to share my happiness with the recipient of my box. Third, I put in some of my pencils, pens,

erasers and rulers. I hope they can help the recipient study. When it was done, I tied the box up

tightly.

My heart was pounding hard when I got back to school, as I was hoping to win the

competition. However, I knew that the most important thing was that I wanted to share my love

with others. Therefore even though I didn’t win in the end and was a little sad, I still enjoyed the

process because I know that serving people doesn’t need a reward.

During the programme, I did not just give away things that I like, I also learnt how to serve

with all my heart! I thank the teachers for allowing me this opportunity to serve others.
