Dear Mum,

How are you doing in China? Guess what? I’ve attended a Puppy Adoption Day last Sunday.
After the event, I am interested in adopting a puppy so I want to ask for your permission to do
so.

Having a puppy has many benefits. For example, pets make a good companion, it also trains
up my responsibility. If I have a dog, I can play with it and I can be less lonely because you and
Dad always work abroad and especially when my brother is busy too.

I am an adolescent now and I am already eleven years old. I think I am independent enough
to keep a puppy. I will walk the puppy, take care of its hygiene and take it to the vet when it is
sick. I have done research on that already.

I know that you will say that our home is not spacious enough to keep a pet. Don’t worry! I
am planning to adopt a Corgi. This breed is small in size. I will tidy up our home to create space
for the puppy to move around.

Well, mum, you can see that adopting a puppy has many benefits. I am ready to own a
puppy. Would you please say “Yes” for my request?
