Adopting a Puppy

Dear Mum,

How is work? I am writing this letter to you because I really want to adopt a puppy!

Yesterday, I went to the Hong Kong Puppy Adoption Day and I fell in love with a puppy! It is a
Shiba Inu! Here are some reasons why I think I am capable of having a puppy.

First, a puppy is a really good and loyal companion. Since you are always in China and Dad

doesn’t come home till 10 p.m., it could play with me when I’m lonely or it could play with me
during study breaks.

Second, I am an adolescent now and I have become more responsible and mature. Also, I

know exactly how to take care of a puppy because every Saturday, I go to Sam’s house and take
care of his dog. During that time, I walk the dog, clean its waste and play with it in playgrounds.

I know having a dog is really unhygienic, and our house does not have much space.

Therefore, first, we could take away the shoe boxes from the reading room and put its cage there.
Second, I will clean up the puppy’s waste. Also, I will also take some dog training classes so I can

teach it to be a well-behaved dog and not to mess up the house.

In conclusion, I think I am old enough to own a dog and it could teach me how to become
an even more responsible boy! Please consider my request.
