An Underwater Adventure

Last week, I went to the beach with my sister,
Abbey and my parents. It was a sunny day so we
figured that going to the beach was the best way
to cool off. Abbey and I were both excited.
We got sunscreen, shovels, other tools and
everything we needed. When we got to the beach,
our parents went sunbathing at once while we
played with our tools on the sand.
Our parents dozed off so Abbey and I decided to go exploring just for a
while. Abbey said, “I think we should go right, where the cave is. I think there is
something through the cave.” I agreed. Soon we were sprinting to the cave.
We ran to the cave and at the entrance, the sun shone in our eyes. For
some reasons, it was extremely bright there. We were momentarily blinded by
the sun. By the time we recovered, there was a humungous gleaming castle in
front of us. We looked at it in surprise. What? We rubbed our eyes. No use! It
was still there. Abbey pinched herself, “Ouch!” It was not a dream. I looked at
the castle, it was magnificent. Towering over us, and it was made of crushed
seashells bricks. Abbey looked scared, but I was brave enough to say to her,
“We should go in!” Abbey still looked scared. “Come on, I’ll protect you,” I
reassured her. Abbey looked less scared and more convinced, so I led her in.
We walked in the door, and up the steps. But halfway up, a sea turtle
came climbing up. “Oh, look, Aric! It’s a sea turtle!” Abbey squealed. But
her amazement quickly turned into fear as the turtle came to her and said
something. “You are entering the Shark King’s territory. Beware!” We stared
at it in surprise. But when we looked at it again, it was gone. I ignored him
anyway, and Abbey followed me, her eyes were wide with terror.
We entered the castle. It was dark and wet inside, and the only source
of light was coming from a trapdoor underground. “Let’s go in!” I said. Abbey
followed cautiously. We opened the trapdoor and found out that it was the sea!
We put on our goggles and jumped into it.
The underwater world was a dazzling sight. Colourful corals glowing all
around, and fish swam around, but what was ahead was the most interesting.
A shipwreck lay ahead. And for some reasons, we could actually breathe in the
water!
