The Sequel of Three Monks, No Water

                                                                6B Wai Sze Yin Shelby

After the last emergency, the three monks learned
to cooperate. They used the water vat to save water
easier and quicker. They were happy to live with one
                                    another.

One day, as usual, after carrying heavy buckets of
water, the young monk swept the temple, the skinny
monk dusted the statutes, the fat monk replaced the
burnt incense sticks and watered the vegetables. Every
day was the same as before, nothing special. Until
then, when they heard that there was a monk who was
finding a temple to stay in. Without hesitation, the three
monks dashed down the mountain to meet him.

“How does he look like? He must be very intelligent and strong,” the three
            monks thought with full certainty.

But when they met the monk, they were very shocked and surprised - the
monk they expected to be strong and smart was very short and looked very
weak. They didn’t want this monk as their companion, but still, they tried to act
pleased and led him to the temple.

On the way back to the temple, the new monk was so clumsy that he
tripped over many times and he walked seriously slow.

“That monk is so clumsy. He will do nothing when we do the chores.”

“Yes, I regret that we let him stay in the temple.”

“Let’s have a plan and leave him in the woods, he will get lost.”

The three monks whispered to one another, hanging a cunning grin on their
            faces.

When they were going to leave him alone, a fierce tiger popped out from
behind the bushes and gave out a loud roar. The three monks were frightened
and shivered. The young monk was too young to face the hungry tiger, the
skinny monk wasn’t strong enough to face that brutal monster, and the fat monk
couldn’t run very fast. They were all desperate and didn’t know what to do. The
short monk picked up a stone and threw it to that scary creature. Although he
was clumsy, he was very brave. Before he became a monk, he was a master of
            martial arts.
