                      An Accident in a Restaurant

                                                                        6A Shum Pak Iu

Today was my grandma’s birthday, that’s why I took
my grandma to a restaurant to have this afternoon.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we chatted with
the waiter and he gave us the menu.

“What do you want to eat?” I asked Grandma.

Just then, I accidently dropped my handkerchief on
                                   the floor.

“I think I will have a cup of lemon tea and a bowl of chicken noodles.”

In the end, we both decided to order chicken noodles happily. However, the
            happiness did not last long.

After some minutes later, the waiter we chatted with earlier finally appeared
and he was holding a tray with our two bowls of chicken noodles. I smacked
my lips as he walked near us.

                “Look out!” shouted the waiter.

What happened next happened in a flash. You would probably missed it if
you blinked. The waiter tripped over my lost handkerchief and spilled the two
            bowls of noodles on Grandma.

The bowls of noodles were hot and they burned Grandma. Grandma
fainted and people started screaming everywhere. The waiter called an
            ambulance and I started crying.

At the hospital, my parents and the manager of the restaurant came. I
wiped my tear-streaked face and told my parents what happened. They were
shocked. The manager also apologized for spoiling our lunch and suggested
that we could go back to the restaurant again for a free meal.

A few days later, Grandma was finally cured and she went back home.

Although Grandma wasn’t mad at me, I still blamed myself for my careless
mistake. There was no way I could forget this accident.
