My Own Treasure
5A Mung Wai Sum
I have a special brush that I treasure the most because this brush was
given to me by an old friend I met in Chinese painting class when I was in
Primary 1. She gave me the brush just before she left the class. This beautiful
brush is made of dedicate white fur and a small, long
bamboo stick. This brush was given to me as a parting
gift because she knew she would leave the class soon.
I treasure this brush dearly because it was her very
last gift to me before she left. The white fur stained with
black ink always reminds me of our friendship. Sometimes
happy and sometimes sad. I treasure this brush because
it is magical. I once drew a marvelous picture using it
and I won a drawing competition. This is my lucky brush.
It also is important to me because it contains something
priceless – friendship.
When I got this brush in Primary 1, I forgot to thank
this dear friend of mine. So if I have a chance when I
grow up, I would do anything to thank her — travel across
all the great seas, oceans and lakes or go anywhere in the world, just to find
her and say thanks for giving me this wonderful, amazing brush that I treasure
so dearly every day.
