         stress

         A recent survey conducted by the Student Union shows that 70% of our
         students suffer from stress. Stress is a common issue in Hong Kong,
         especially among students. There are medical studies showing that stress
         can harm our health. But fear not, this article is going to explain what stress

         is, and how it can be beneficial to us.


         What is stress?
         Stress is the body’s reaction to challenges and potential danger. We may feel

         nervous, anxious, our heart pounding or even sweating when we are stressed
         out. Medical studies have pointed out that prolonged stress can lead to both
         mental and physical illnesses, such as depression, headache or even heart
         disease.



         What causes stress?
         Stress can come from anywhere from academic pressure, financial
         difficulties to relationship problems. As a student, we have lessons to

         prepare, homework to do, exams to take and college to fight for. Apart from
         academic pressure, we also get to fulfill our parent’s expectations and deal
         with relationships with family and friends. Being a student is not easy, is it?



         How do we face stress?
         Stress is a double-edged sword, instead of fearing it or trying to avoid
