Doing Bitter Work

It was an ordinary morning. A child from a small village in Western Asia
was transporting the bricks. He was skinny. Lifting lots of bulky bricks was

difficult to him. I followed him for half an hour, he still did not reach his
destination. Although a brick at the top was about to drop, he did not get a
chance to fix it.

After following him for two hours, he arrived at his home town. In fact, he was

building a house. He got a lot of wounds and they kept bleeding.

I was so proud of him. He needed to work and travel for a long distance to get

just a few bricks. It was terrible and I couldn’t imagine how many times he
needed to carry the bricks in order to build a house!

In Hong Kong, another side of Asia with a high living standard, there are
workers who are responsible for constructing buildings. People in Hong Kong

do not build houses by themselves.

You may not know how exhausted the children are in another part of Asia

unless you pay a visit. It is an unforgettable trip for me and the photo I took
was a memory that I could keep. It always reminds me to work hard.
