A Source of Joy

At noon, it was expected to be a school period. However, the child you saw in
the photo was looking after her sibling. As I observed, she was taking care of

her little sister every day at the same moment so she was believed to have
dropped out of school.

Do you think that she was silly because of dropping out of school? In fact, in

those poor countries, they needed to pay a lot of money if they want to go to
school but it is just a dream to them because of poverty.

Nowadays, Hong Kong kids are lucky to have the opportunity to go to school.

With the high education standard, students are expected to be joyful and
satisfied, but they are not. They think that their wants are not fulfilled, such
as, not having the most advanced electronic devices, the hottest toys, etc.

It is greedy of those Hong Kong kids to just ask for what they want. I do not
think they live a happy life. Why would I say so? Children in poor countries
still enjoy their lives even though they don’t have electronic devices or toys.
Looking after their siblings is also a source of joy.

I am ashamed that the source of my happiness comes from paying money
to buy what I want. At the same time, I appreciate the kids there as they live
happy lives by ‘paying’ love to their family members.
