Blessing in Disguise

Do you want to be a monitor?
Well, I do. I have dreamt of becoming a monitress since I was in Primary One.
However, none of my class teachers had chosen me to be the monitress. It turned out that monitors
have a lot of work to do. They have to write the homework sheet and send it to the office, to be on duty
when there is no teacher in the classroom and most important of them all is - they have no time to play
and chat in recess! Frankly, I now feel quite lucky that I am not chosen to be a monitress because I have
time to play with my friends and do homework so that I can finish homework earlier and have more free
time to read books at home.
Now, I am a prefect and will have duties every two days, so, I can still play with my friends during recess.
When I am on duty, I am always impressed with the monitress from class 1B. She loves her job and never eats
at recess so that she can start her duty earlier. When the class is noisy, she shouts, “Quiet!” with her loudest
voice until the classroom is in silence and her throat often aches, but she continues on her job with passion. I
think I am very lucky that I am not a monitress or the one with a sore throat might be me!
I like my duties as a prefect and not being a monitress might just be my blessing in disguise.

Film Review of Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer is a Japanese animated film which is incredibly made. The story is about an adventure of
Tanjiro Kamado, the protagonist of the story, as a demon slayer. His family was killed by Muzan Kibutsuji, and
he and his sister Nezuko were the only survivors of the incident. Unfortunately, Nezuko was transformed into a
demon which shows signs of human emotion and thought. After becoming a demon slayer, Tanjiro embarked
on the journey to help his sister turn into human again and avenge the death of his family.
It is a hilarious film as the jokes are really funny and they don’t fail to make the audience laugh. The voice-
over and terrifying music make a spectacular combination. When the demons are talking, they sound really evil
and match their personality very well. It sounds even more realistic with the help of other sound effects.
The best part of the movie is the special effects. The most special one must be the “breathing styles” as
they influence the colours of the swords the demon slayers use. Absolutely breath-taking! The only bad thing
about the film is that it ends at the most exciting part!
Overall, I highly recommend this film. Watch it when you have a lot of time at home because there are a
lot for you to catch up!
