corner. This occurs as Haku, the blue-haired boy, takes Chihiro to take off running and splashing right into
the water. Haku leads Chihiro to a boat with spirits filled to the brim and tires to blend in. They end up in
front of a bathhouse for super naturals and Haku explains that the so-called amusement park is a resort
for supernatural beings who need a break from their time spent in the earthly realm, and that she must
work there to free herself and her parents. Chihiro is both shocked and desperate to free herself and her
parents, so she gives in and decides to work there. She meets Yubaba, the ruler of the bathouse, who
gives her a job. One day, when she is getting ready for work, some paper birds fly over surrounding an
injured dragon, trying to ask Chihiro for help. Chihiro takes the elevator and goes to Yubaba’s office to
see if Haku is okay but she is shoked to see Haku as a badly injured dragon, so she takes him to Kamaji.
Kamaji bandages Haku and sets Chihiro free.
The exciting and exhilarating movie includes some very iconic scenes, such as the train scene, where
No Face is introduced and Chihiro takes a train to find Yubaba’s twin sister, Zeniba, who threatens to kill
Haku for stealing her seal. However, Zeniba then forgives him with no strings attached. Another iconic
scene is when the spirits come to life. Seeing the floating, tall ghost slowly fade in the azure night of the
abandoned amusement park was amusing and riveting for one, from this complex symphony of illustration
makes the scene one of the loveliest moments in the movie. Lastly, at the end of the movie, when Haku
tells Chihiro not to look back until she goes through the tunnel. It is very touching. It is as if Haku doesn’t
want her to leave. I hope they get to bond again soon.

In my opinion, the movie “Spirited Away” is very emotional and has a very deep story. The voice
acting for Chihiro and Haku is surreal and the story on its own is worth-watching over and over again. No
Face’s introduction is also very unique. Despite this, I do wish that No Face could be featured more often
in the movie and perhaps that a backstory could be given for Haku. I also wish that we could have seen
Chihiro in the future. Maybe she could go back and replace Yubaba to run the bathhouse. Overall, I highly
recommend you watch this movie at home. But, when you watch the movie, make sure you prepare some
tissue for later, because this movie is going to be a rollercoaster of emotions.
