                                                           CLP Programmes






                                                   Online learning is not limited to academic subjects. During the class suspension
                                                   period, the Careers and Life Planning programmes for S2, S3 and S4 students
                                                   continued.
                                                   The second session of  the S2 Career Education Programme on “Possible Jobs”
                                                   was held on 4 march 2020. Students learnt about matching their existing personal
                                                   attributes to a job title as well as self-development and growth. The worksheets were
                                                   designed to encourage and support students to be self-directed in bringing about
                                                   positive changes that would help them to actualise their potential jobs.

       The second part of  the S3 Careers Education Programme on “Informed Choices” was held on 20 march, 2020. It aimed to develop the potential
       of  every student and to equip them with the knowledge, skills and attitudes which would help them play a positive role in the community. The
       Programme covered aspects of  career education in different ways, equipping students with the right Mindset (RESET), the proper Skillset
       (REACT), and the support of  Toolset (RECAP) to make decisions for themselves and to identify the direction for their growth.

       The S4 Career Education on ‘Applied Strategic Thinking’ workshop was held to pave a path for further studies. It was held on 3 and 4 march,
       2020. Students were encouraged to learn the importance of  strategic planning in paving their path to success in furthering their studies. They
       learnt to set their study goal in the SMART (S=Specific=, M=Measurable A=Attainable, R= Relevant, T=Time-based) manner. They learnt to
       assess their targeted HKDSEE results so as to make informed choices for further studies.





    VA Zoom Lessons










                                                                   The challenge of  teaching Visual Arts online was well met by the
                                                                   creativity of  teachers and students alike. By its very nature, Visual
                                                                   Arts subject matter and concepts are always delivered visually for
                                                                   the best effect. Teaching and learning is much more effective with
                                                                   the aids of  reference pictures, practical demonstration and tactile
                                                                   sensory experience. Therefore, for enhancing the effectiveness
                                                                   of  teaching and learning, the VA teachers motivated students by

                                                                   using teaching aids like PowerPoint, YouTube videos, music videos
                                                                   and students’ artwork.
                                             During the online lessons, class discussion and experience sharing were always encouraged,
                                             while students with good performance were invited to share their inspired art projects.

                                             In addition, external competitions were integrated into the online assignments to arouse
                                             students’ interest. The Inter-School Fashion Design Competition and Thanksgiving Card
                                             Design Competition were held. Students’ responses were mostly positive, and their homework
                                             showed their creativity and imagination.

                                             In junior forms, lessons covered interesting topics relating to abstractionism & Wassily
                                             Kandinsky, ukulele design, Egyptian art project, tessellation project, pop art and Andy Warhol,
               Youtube video of an artist    Yang Shao culture, glockenspiel making, ceramics making, comics design and thanksgiving card
         design. In senior forms, creative and critical training in forms such as surrealism, impressionism, art criticism, fashion design, perspective, tips for
         preparing SBA projects, skills painting in moody effects, how to generate ideas and integrate Chinese culture into modern fashion design were
         covered. The opportunity to explore, discover and create was maximised during this period.
