                                Memorable Trips

To the dismay of many, travelling has suddenly become impossible due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. It’s likely that
we have to remain in Hong Kong for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile we can only teleport ourselves to a place in a photo
or in our memory. Let’s see where some of our teachers want to teleport us to.

Nokonoshima Island Park in Japan is a park where you can see different flowers in
different seasons. I went there last summer with my friend. It was hot and sunny, but I
enjoyed it despite having to put on a lot of sunscreen. I am not a good photographer but I
managed to take a lot of beautiful pictures there. If you like flowers, you should definitely
visit it! There are plenty of flowers all around the year. No matter when you go, you will be
surrounded by flowers and you will surely find it beautiful and amazing. - Ms Lee Yi Lan

I went on a working holiday in Germany almost 10 years ago. During the gap
year, Innsbruck in Austria was one of my travel destinations. It is located in the
broad valley surrounded by snowy high mountains. Taking the cable car, there I
arrived at Nordkette - a ski paradise for professional ski-lovers. Since I was just
a beginner skier, I chose to sit on the bench. I gazed out from the edge of the
Alpine Seegrube with the 70-80 degree inclined slope in front of me to behold
the beauty of nature. Unforgettable memory collected! - Ms Lai Yun Yan

Last Easter I visited southern Italy. It is a slow-paced, laid back and comfortable
region of this scenic country. During a day trip to Lecca, I discovered this
picturesque beach - Polignano a Mare. It was breathtaking but the weather was
gloomy and the visitors were scattered. So I thought it was not at its best and I
should come back on another sunny day. The following day when we returned,
the sky was cloudless, but the beach town had changed. It was noisy and packed
with tourists. Sometimes imperfection is perfection. - Mr Mak Yuk Ming

Last year, I visited Switzerland, where I made my first attempt to ride on a trottibike
scooter, which is like a bicycle with no pedals. It was thrilling but could be quite
dangerous, as it was much more difficult to control than a bike. My heart was pounding
unusually fast during the whole ride. Scary though it might be, it felt awesome! It was as
if I was flying like a bird while sliding downhill like a flash. In the meantime, the scenery
was so stunning and breathtaking that I was forced to slow down from time to time,
mesmerized by the masterpiece from Mother Nature. - Mr Shung Wing Chung, Alex

Tibet, famous for her marvellous glaciers, the highest peak in the world, etc., is the
best place for a natural landscape lover like me to find out how amazing nature
is. Travelling is not only about sightseeing, but also deep communication with
local people with mutual respect. “Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny
place you occupy in the world.” I hope all of you can leave your comfort zone and
explore the beautiful and adventurous world. I assure you it will be an enjoyable
and unforgettable experience! - Ms Chan Lai Ching
