丘中於1971年開校時就以師生均能接觸聖經真理為使命，除開設聖經科外，在校園生活中均有多
項活動，令師生都容易接受聖經的教訓，以推行基督教教育。

基督徒團契是最重要的課外活動，逢星期五課後舉行，是當天唯一的課外活動，同學可以全心全意
參加。活動內容包括詩歌崇拜、分享及傳道人的經文講解；同時成立細胞小組(Cell group)，由老
師帶領若干同學查經、分享等活動。

至於教師方面亦設立查經班，逢星期五午間邀請傳道人廖浩波先生帶領，以整年時間查畢〈啟示

錄〉，這樣能維繫教師慕道的心態，並散播基督教教育氣氛於校園。
其他方面的配合有週年性的大型活動，如福音週、暑期福音營等，傳揚基督真理的訊息。

十年樹木，百年樹人。五十年對丘中的發展只是一個階段，是對過去成就的慶祝，更是對未來發展
的建立。將來，丘中要繼續堅持以基督教教育為中心，本著聖經真理為指導的方針！

More than half a century has passed since our School opened its gates to the first batch of students in
1971. Throughout the years, many alumni have emerged in society and joined the upper echelons as
successful and notable citizens. They certainly deserve our warmest congratulations, and they are warmly
welcomed to come to their alma mater as mentors and advisers for the benefit of their contemporaries and
present day students. Nonetheless, my heart constantly goes more to those who have lesser achievements
and are facing great challenges in this competitive environment. Do not despair, the Lord has specifically
called those who are weak in order to raise them up. Do echo the hymn “Count your blessings…” that we
used to sing in unison in our Morning Assemblies:

“Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the Cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.”

Do venture forth without flinching into the World, East or West, and create fresh opportunities for
yourselves, the School has certainly equipped you with the languages to do so.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord
turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 NIV
