HTYC students always strive to achieve excellent performances in different disciplines.
Even in the epidemic situation, they can still win many awards in various competitions
with their hard work, perseverance and excellent teamwork in different areas. In the days
to come, we will continue to adhere to the core values of HTYC, and continue to invest
resources and create opportunities for students to develop their potential in different
areas such as information technology, STEAM, visual arts, music, sports, leadership and
different service positions. We will also upgrade the learning and teaching facilities and
beautify the campus in order to integrate with this fast-changing and technological world.

God’s Abiding Presence in this Changing World
The world keeps changing, but God never changes. We expect HTYC students to behave
like Jesus Christ, learn to love themselves and others, care for others, commit themselves
to society and be grateful. In this rapidly developing and changing world, HTYC students
need a broad knowledge base and balanced development, with particular emphasis on
the cultivation of personal character. HTYC upholds the holistic well-being of the students,
and students are expected to pursue academic excellence as well as good character.
Indeed, the community has witnessed the remarkable development of HTYC over the past
th
50 years of school history. This Anniversary Magazine summarises our 50 anniversary
celebrations. It is also a collection of snapshots and achievements of HTYC over the past
few years. More importantly, it marks the beginning of a new page for HTYC as it meets
new challenges in the coming decades.
We expect Hioecians to treat others with love, whether as leaders or in unobtrusive
positions. HTYC nurtures students with good leadership, yet not so much through the
excellence of skills but more through humble and devoted service, following the example
of Jesus Christ. With His protection and guidance, all Hioecians possess admirable
competence, upright character, leadership qualities and a spirit to serve—they are servant
th
leaders for the future. Congratulations on the 50 Anniversary of the school! They “Flourish
in His Grace”. We believe that we can experience God’s abiding presence in this changing
world.
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. May the favour of
the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us — yes, establish the
work of our hands.” (Psalms 90:12,17)
