4A Lai Yee Him
I started my journey in the Mathematics Olympiad Team when I was in Primary Two. I really
like mathematics and my daily life is full of it. I have participated in public competitions
(Hua Xia, HKMO, AIMO, etc.) for four years and I gained satisfactory results. The most
unforgettable experience was participating in the final of Hua Xia Cup. It was held in
Shenzhen and I got the first prize. This was the first time that I joined a mathematics
competition outside Hong Kong.
This year, the outbreak of COVID-19 changed the learning environment. Since the school
team training was changed to Zoom, I took some time to get used to it. The teacher
used different online platforms and activities to make the training more efficient and
effective. Moreover, this was the first time for me to join an online competition. It
was really special.
I can’t wait to participate in the school team and join more competitions next year!
