Time flies so quickly that this is my last year in the English Drama Team.
Drama has built my confidence. When I was younger, I loved to pretend that
I was one of the characters in a movie and acted like him or her. But when
I was on the stage, I was too shy to stand in the character's shoes. After
months of drama training, when I stepped onto the stage again, I let go of
my shyness and instantly turned into that character. It also taught me to be
well-prepared at all times. When someone forgets their lines, we need to
think of a solution quickly. Drama helps me bond with my friends too!
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we couldn't physically interact with
each other and had to use Zoom for drama training. Although we
could only attend our training classes through a computer screen, I
still enjoyed the drama lessons very much.
For me, acting is just performing scenes from real life. When I act, I
can be anyone I dream of. You can't be a queen in real life, but
you can be a queen in a drama, and that's why I love acting!
The English Drama Team members stare eagerly
at the intensive 6-session training outline!
The drama queens and kings share their secrets
with a dramatic snapshot in the first post-training
extension task.
