On 31 December 2020, Miss Hon and Miss Yu sent me a message telling

me that I was chosen for the “Poetry in Mind” – Hong Kong Inter-Primary
Schools Chinese and Culture Competition. I felt very lucky.
We had zoom lessons. As it was the first time for us to learn these things,
we all thought they were challenging. The teachers taught us by using
Kahoot and grouping which make our learning fun.
20 March 2021 was the day we had the competition. The teachers had

chosen me and two other sixth graders as representatives. I felt nervous
but also excited because it was the first time for me to join a competition
like this. My mum, Miss Jiao and Miss Yu encouraged me, and they made
me more confident.
At the end, the school did a great job and we got the highest mark – 530!
I was so proud of myself.
During this competition, I learnt a lot about Chinese traditions. What a
meaningful competition! I hope I can join this competition again next year.
