2020-2021 Team Members: Being a member of the Odyssey of the Mind
4A Liu Yan Ting Team is a new experience to me. Creativity is not
4B Hui Ting Hei just about making things out of nothing. During
one of the trainings, I had to use different body

parts from different animals to create a new
4E Cheung Yan Laam animal. That meant I had to use usual things
4E Sun Lai Yin but an unusual thinking method to create a
new idea.

Besides, it is also important to think about the

connections and relationships between different
5B Yue Shing Hei things. When someone asks what you could
5C Chong Wing Kiu associate with the word “blue”, most people would usually
reply with “sky” and “sea”. After our training, I knew that

we could say “blue equals to green minus yellow.”
5E Zin Hui Hong
I would really like to join the Odyssey of the Mind
Team again next year. I hope I would have the chance to
work with my teammates and take part in competitions
again.

5B Wong Kwan Shu
I have joined the Odyssey of the Mind (OM) Team since Primary Four. It is
exciting to join the OM Team because the activities are full of fun. When
I first joined the team, I found that problem solving was very difficult and
I did not have confidence to manage the tasks. However, with learning
and practising, I have learnt how to think out of the box, and I am willing
to face different challenges.
OM lessons are interesting and creative, and they require teamwork
to solve the problems. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we could not
attend any competitions. However, we continued our learning through
ZOOM. I look forward to joining the international competition again.
