Support Services for Students with Special Educational Needs
在疫情期間，粉嶺中心獲北區民政事務處贊助十七萬元舉辦「北區顯關懷社區支援計劃」，為區內五十名
懷疑或已診斷為有特殊學習需要的兒童提供一系列「貼地」服務，通過由職業治療師、言語治療師、音樂
治療師及社工提供的專業評估服務、個別治療及訓練活動，令兒童能維持應有的學習水平和進度，減輕有
經濟困難家庭的壓力。

此外，麗城中心獲荃灣區議會撥款舉辦「同一『南Teen』下」活動，透過實體或線上形式，每星期動員區
內華裔及少數族裔義工，為兒童及青少年提供功課輔導及中文支援服務。中心更獲香港賽馬會CARE義工
隊提供十二條自行錄製的中文故事短片，讓少數族裔學童在疫情下亦能於網上學習中文及認識中國文化。
同時，透過短片及即時網上教學教授六十個組別的少數族裔學童魔術及手工藝，讓他們於農曆新年期間有
不同的娛樂和學習新技能。

During the pandemic, Fanling Centre received a subsidy of $170,000 granted by the North District Office of Home
Affairs Department to organize “北區顯關懷社區支援計劃”, providing a series of “down-to-earth” service for
50 children suspected or diagnosed with special educational needs. Through the professional assessment service,
individual treatment and training activities provided by occupational therapists, speech therapists, music therapists and
social workers, the Scheme maintained optimal learning level and progress for children and lessened the burden of
families with financial difficulties.

In addition, Belvedere Garden Centre received a fund from Tsuen Wan District Council to hold the “Under the Same
Blue Sky”event, engaging both Chinese and ethnic minority volunteers in the district to offer homework consultation
and Chinese language support service via both face-to-face and online format every week. Also, the voluntary team of
CARE@hkjc provided the Centre with 12 self-produced short videos of Chinese stories for ethnic minority students to
learn Chinese and Chinese culture online under the pandemic. Meanwhile, 60 groups of ethnic minority students were
taught about magic and handicrafts through short videos and real-time online tutorials so that they could have different
entertainments and learn new skill sets during Lunar New Year.
