Various centres of the Agency co-organized “Understanding Me Project” with LevelMind@JC to support HKDSE
candidates this year, who attended exam under the pandemic and dealt with academic pressure. Life and career
planning events were held, such as stress relief activities, counselling hotline service, interview preparation classes,
DSE results release support, first-aid certification courses and job experiential learning activities, providing about 5000
          times of participation.

Meanwhile as parents needed to assist in children’s academic learning during the pandemic, parental stress had
soared and parent-child conflicts were easily aroused. The youth volunteers at Heng On Centre had organized
“Parent-Kid Charger Project”, offering learning support activities to kids on a regular basis and creating a relaxing and
destressing space for parents to share their parenting methods and difficulties. Fanling Centre had uploaded eight
episodes of parent-child interactive videos under the topics of handicrafts, exercise, cooking and games with the
theme of “Love Language”, encouraging parents and children to create time for parent-child interaction, improve their
relationship and learn positive communication skill during the pandemic. A total of 3000 views was recorded.

In order to assist the disadvantaged students in facing the situation of “suspending classes without suspending
learning”, Tin Ping Centre had implemented “Homework Companion” project, recruiting youth volunteers to become
voluntary teachers at weekends to help students in need with homework revision and answer their enquiries, and also
to raise students’ learning motivation with the use of intellectual games. 17
