For the year of 2018 to 2019, the theme of the Seminary’s IT is “taking off with the Optical Internet”.
Following up with last year’s Optical Internet access, the seminary have finished all the IT infrastructure by
the end of 2018. For example, the linkup of buildings with an optical fiber backbone, as well as the upgrade
of up-to-date Wi-Fi Access Points throughout the whole campus.
Thanks to the high speed internet, we were able to join the Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing platform
to provide free web hosting and server for library’s eBook system. Moreover, we also now subscribe to
Microsoft 365 for free email and OneDrive online storage. There are no longer any worries on email quota.
Our new website in the construction also uses CMS (Content Management System). In the coming years,
the seminary will start to deploy distance learning such as using video conferencing in classroom. We are
grateful if anyone of you experts in these areas can help us.
