2. A special scheme called “Counselling Scheme for the Seminary Students’ Personal Growth” was
organized. It encouraged the students taking the first seminary degree course to have personal growth
counselling. When they could understand themselves more and had enhanced their self-awareness through
counselling, they could become healthier and better pastors in the future. There were 15 students who
            joined the scheme.
          3. The first and foremost program organized was the Companion LeShalom Talk Series. The main theme of
this series was about “how to be a good companion of the needy”. The first talk about “how to walk with
those with emotional disturbance” was held on 19th September at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The speaker was Mr. Leung Kam-wing. About 120 participants attended. On 2nd November, the talk was
repeated by co-organizing with the Yuen Kei Family Center and the Yuen Kei Alliance Church in Yuen
Long. Over 140 participants enrolled. The second talk about “how to walk with the distressed people” was
held on 4th January, 2019 also at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The speaker was Dr. Tsang Wai-
            hung. About 150 participants attended.
          4. After each talk, there followed a program of the Companion Learning Group Series. It provided a platform
for those participants to learn more about the knowledge and skills required for helping people. It also
connected like-minded people to build up a supportive network among themselves. The first group was
organized twice. One was held every Wednesday evening in October, 2018 and the other was held in
January, 2019. The second group was organized in February, 2019. There were altogether 32 participants.
          5. Throughout the year, there were about 850 counselling/ supervision sessions provided. Among the clients
were seminary students, counselling students, pastors and members of the general public.
          6. The Clinical Management Group of the Centre regularly held case conferences and professional training
courses for the counsellors in the Centre so as to improve their professional standard.
          7. In September, the Centre signed a co-operation agreement with the C.M.A. Yuen Kei Family Service
Centre to launch a community counselling service for the citizens in the Western New Territories.
          B. Forecast:

          1. For the development of the counselling programs in LTS, the Centre will launch a professional internship
training program in order to provide the learning continuity for the graduates and to build up a good team
            of companion counsellors.
          2. The main concern in 2019 will be the support of the pastors and churches. A specific scheme will be
drawn up to help the nurturing of the pastors’ inner being and assisting them to better serve the believers
            in their churches.
          3. Community Education about mental health is a must. The Centre will continue organizing the programs of
the Companion LeShalom Talk Series and Companion Learning Group Series. Some short-term training
            courses will also be conducted.
          4. Special programs will be held for celebrating the first-year anniversary of the Centre. It will not be only
for celebration and thanksgiving, but also for mission and service promotion.
We hope that the churches and the general public will give the Centre their continuous support as usual.
Then we will be able to carry on promoting our vision and mission, facilitating the culture of companionship
and building up a team of companion counsellors. So, may God’s grace be showered upon our society
through the works of our hands.

          IV. Department Reports

          A. Administration Department (Property Maintenance)

The weather seems to be warmer this year. The azaleas surrounding the seminary were still in bud at this
time last year, but this year those beautiful blossoms are everywhere. Looking back at last year’s works,
there were challenges but with fruitful joys. The most unforgettable one was the time during the period
of the restoration project. It was really hard to coordinate multiple issues at the same time, like window
maintenance, replacement of sanitary in the dormitory, power systems improvement etc. Looking ahead
to the upcoming tasks, we will focus on the repair and maintenance of the facilities. Some dorm rooms
and classrooms have not been refurbished for many years, including the chapel, the dining hall and the
