2018-2019 LTS Annual Report
President Simon Chow
Introduction
As Typhoon Mangkhut swept past Hong Kong in September 2018, it left behind devastation in many places,
including LTS, with uprooted and fallen trees. Coincidentally, at the same time, LTS was doing extensive
renovation and painting of its building premises.
Praise the Lord, the painting was completed in November, and this gave LTS the look of having put on a new
garment. Whilst the renovation cost us more than HKD3,000,000, the walkathon at the end of October raised
an amount of HKD2,600,000, much in excess of our fund-raising goal. On one hand, we recognized the rich
blessings of the Lord, and on the other, we must thank the participating churches and brothers and sisters for
their generous support and donations.
For LTS, the putting on of a new garment not only marks the end of a project, but the beginning of a new era.
With this new garment, LTS urges all brothers and sisters to put behind the ‘project’ in the past and continue
on the road of carrying on their important missions. We have recapitulated below our challenges and God’s
blessings in 2018-19. Please do not hesitate to let us have your comments.
