An Interview with the Kidney Twins
Tom: Good morning! Today we’re going to have a chat with the Kidney Twins.
Kidney Twins: Hello, Tom! Hello, everyone!
Tom: Where are you exactly in the body?
Right Kidney: We’re located against the back muscles, just about in the upper abdominal
area.
Tom: Good. Next, what are your jobs?
Left Kidney: We remove and filter waste from blood and the body.
Right Kidney: We also balance the body’s water level.
Tom: Then, who do you work with?
Left Kidney: We work with our friends Ureter, Bladder, and Urethra.
Tom: Great teamwork! Lastly, which system are you in?
Right Kidney: You don’t know? We’re in the urinary system!
Tom: Oh, of course! Thanks for chatting with us today, Kidney Twins. The Kidney
Twins have to go back to work now!
Kidney Twins: Tom, talking to you was a pleasure for us. Oh, and remember not to eat too
much salt or have too much caffeine, or we’ll get sick! Goodbye!
