Time flies like a rocket, I can’t believe that I have joined
2020-2021 Team Members: the Chinese Drum Team for four years. I still remember
2B Chin Pak Yin that I couldn’t understand the score and catch up with
2B Lau Tsz Ho the rhythm when I just started to learn. But now I can
perform confidently on stage. I’m also very grateful that
2C Holman Olive Xara I have made numerous good friends.
2D Liu Man Him This year, we all had a big challenge. We could only

3A Chan Tsz Sun have online lessons due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
3D Chau Yat Although we encountered difficulties with the network
and had problems learning percussion skill, all my
3E Lai Theodora teammates tried to overcome these obstacles. This

4D Kwok Yan Hing Sophia showed our strong team spirit. I will treasure every
opportunity to learn as I believe in “No pain no gain”.

Moreover, I enrolled in the drum graded exam
5D Choi Ting Chit
organised by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra
in May 2021. I had prepared for three months. This
was a valuable opportunity to raise my level and
broaden my horizon. Lastly, I want to express
my gratitude to Ms. Zhang and Mr. Man who
gave me confidence.
