Six years ago I was still a little kid who
5A Luk Ka Lam never thought I would be in the Chinese
5C Cheung Man Ho Orchestra. But two years ago, Mr. Man
encouraged me to play the instrument
5C Tai Tsz Lam
Sheng, and eventually, I joined the
5D Chan Chung Man Chinese Orchestra.
6A Chan Yu En Here, I met lots of friends and learnt lots of
6A Suen Pui Tin skills. Being in the Chinese Orchestra let me experience
things I never did before. But sadly, COVID-19 stopped
6B Lau Wing Tung
us from having training for months. I am thankful that
6B Lip Hui Ching Olena WFJLPS planned online training for us. Even though
6B Wong Chung Sing we were in different places, we could practise through
Zoom. Online training made me treasure the time with
6C Ko Wai Kiu Sophie my teammates.

Time flies but memories last forever. Even though I will
6D Chan Wai Yiu be leaving WFJLPS soon, I will never forget how great it
6D Chiu Cherrie was to be in the Chinese Orchestra.

I have joined the Chinese Orchestra since Primary Three. I have taken part
in numerous competitions, for instance, Hong Kong Youth Music Interflows
and Joint School Music Competition. I gained much confidence. Moreover,
I learnt to cooperate and communicate with my talented teammates.
Sometimes we lose, but we can learn from our failure. If we hadn’t lost,
we wouldn’t even know how we could improve ourselves.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the training was suspended and we
could only meet each other and practise online. I felt a glimmer of
disappointment as we, the online learners, could only communicate
with the “wall”. I wish the pandemic will be over soon, so that we could go back to
our normal lives.
