“Remain curious and keep asking questions.”
His love for mathematics could not flourish if it was not for the support and guidance from Tung Yuk’s parents. “My
parents love answering my questions – I always have a lot of questions regarding all sorts of things, be it academic
or in daily life – they do not mind answering them, they would even do research with me so as to solve my queries.
Their unconditional support encourages me to keep asking questions and keep looking for answers – I guess this is a
prerequisite for acquiring knowledge.”
Apart from his parents, Tung Yuk is also grateful to his teachers at WFJLPS, especially to Miss Ko, his class teacher of
the fifth and sixth grade. He shared, “Miss Ko has shown me guidance and care beyond a teacher’s duty – she stayed
late all the time to help me prepare for a dubbing contest and helped me practise, she even prepared dinner for me
when I missed my dinner during intensive training – I was impressed and grateful that she was always there for me.”
