“Good manners will
open doors in life.”
Kris was grateful for her lessons learnt to be a person
with good virtues, both in school and at home. Kris
shared, “In WFJLPS, other than teaching us knowledge,
teachers also show us the importance of having
good moral characters and emphasise on a sense of
responsibility, perseverance, love, and caring through
curriculum, different activities and daily life. I was grateful
to be one of the prefect leaders when I was in the fifth
grade. The opportunity of serving my schoolmates
taught me about empathy and discipline.”
Kris’ parents echoed with the school on this and
played a pivotal role in educating her to be courteous
and generous. “My parents always say that good
manners show your respect to people and will always
be appreciated, and that they believe good manners
will open doors that even the best education cannot. I
truly understand, and I want to be someone with both
knowledge as well as good virtues.”
