Cases of drug-abusing parents make up about a quarter of the Centre’s total caseload currently.
The Centre will continue to strengthen collaboration with different professional units in the
community and provide support services to drug-abusing parents as well as their children and
family through “the Paws Tree - Parent Education and Community-based Supporting Scheme”,
a scheme supported by the Beat Drugs Fund for two years which underpinned by the concept
of S.H.H (Success, Happiness and Healthy).
The Centre organized “Connect with Love Sharing Session ” in June 2020, which concluded the
achievement of the two-year project “Walking with Families - Parenting and Community-based
Supporting Scheme” funded by the Beat Drugs Fund, and allowed service users to share their
life-changing experience. Dr. Shiu Yiu-keung, Associate Consultant of the Comprehensive Child
Development Service of the Princess Margaret Hospital, also affirmed the success of cross-
professional collaboration and the changes of the rehabilitated mothers through sharing online. 45
