Sleeping in the Test

Have you ever had an embarrassing experience? Ann was
standing outside the teachers’ room when her classmates played in the
playground during the recess because she was being punished by Miss
Lee. She was regretful for what she has done.
Ann had been having a bad habit recently. She liked watching
football matches on Sundays until eleven o’clock at night. Therefore,
she usually did not have enough sleep. Her mum felt disappointed.
One day, her mother was furious and shouted at Ann. However, Ann did
not care. She did not keep those words in her heart. She thought her
mum’s words were meaningless.

Since Ann was tired, she fell asleep in yesterday’s class while
the English test was in progress. Miss Lee woke her up immediately.
She was furious with Ann. Ann felt embarrassed because the other
classmates were laughing at her at that time.

Then Miss Lee asked Ann to go to the teachers’
room at recess. Ann was upset and she apologized
to Miss Lee sincerely. She promised to stop watching
football matches at night instantly. As a result, Miss Lee
forgave Ann and gave her one more chance. However,
Ann still failed in her test. She didn’t finish all the
questions. She was regretful.

This time, she learnt a big lesson. She should have
listened to her mum’s advice and she should study
hard for the exams.
