The Playground

Have you ever lost anyone important? Some people would lose things by
accident while others would do it on purpose, but nobody would think about the
consequences of the aftermath. Last Tuesday afternoon, Miss Eve took her
granddaughter, Sally to the local park next to the school afterschool.
Sally was really excited to get to hang out with her friends, in the meanwhile
Miss Eve was talking to her niece, even though she was supposed to watch over
Sally.
Two more children came to join them at the playground while they were playing
‘tag’. Everybody frantically ran everywhere making Sally very flustered, because
she was the ‘it’ and she was not the fastest runner. But as the time passed by, the
children started to disappear leaving only Sally by herself. She was upset to find
herself alone in the empty playground, so when she saw someone running towards
the forest, she reluctantly followed. As a result, she got deeper and deeper until
she had disappeared from sight.
When Miss Eve and the other parents went to pick up their children from the playground, they were all
speechless and felt regretful because the children were all gone! The parents started arguing and accusing one
another while Miss Eve stayed calm and called the police to tell them what had happened. After a few months, the
case of the lost children was deemed dead.
When the parents of the children heard about this, they were devastated to know that their own off-springs
were gone forever.
Three years later, all the children came back older and unharmed. All the parents were delighted to see their
lovely children alive and well, all except Miss Eve. She was suspicious that Sally was not Sally but a robot clone
of hers. She found out after she saw ‘Sally’ on the ground short-circuiting when it tried to wash its hands. Soon the
other parents discovered the truth about their ‘children’. They immediately told the police about the robot clones.
They tracked down the location of the chips inside the robots and soon found a warehouse deep in the forest.
A squad of police and the FBI went to that place, took out the people who were there and found all the children
sitting on the floor looking very tired, hungry, some ever passed out. When Sally saw the police and the FBI, she
immediately called for her friends that help was finally there.
After the children were taken back to the police station, they were given food and taken care of some injuries.
Then, one by one, they got picked up by their parents. Everyone was in tears after knowing their real children were
alive and well.
The moral of the story is that, for the parents, they need to keep an eye on their children even if they were
dealing with something important. For the children, if you need to go off somewhere, make sure you tell or ask your
parents to let them know first.
