主席 的 話 Dear Parents,
Message from
the Chairperson
各位家長，
在2019冠狀病毒疫情的影響下，我們的生活有了很大的改變。
如何適應這種可能長期的變化，是我們家教會的新挑戰。
本屆家教會因應環境「與時俱進」，以Zoom線上方式為家長舉辦切割水仙頭、海
報製作工作坊，並參與學校網上開放日的線上交流環節。接下來，家教會還會繼
續努力創新，如舉辦網上親子烹飪比賽、線上講座、聯繫更多少數族裔家庭等。
家教會就是憑着一股衝勁，努力地嘗試新方法，收穫的不只是工作經驗，更多的
是同學和家長們積極參與、互相支持的感動。作為主席，我深感驕傲與感激！

Principal
各位家長：
2021年全球繼續受新冠疫情影響，而學校在
本學年也經歷着一段很不容易的時間。疫情反
覆，打亂了學校的正常運作，例如測考安排、
網課面授學習的交替，課外活動及家長日安排等，
在此我衷心感謝各位家長的配合及理解。
我從網課的觀察中，看到教師團隊在課堂設計上花
了不少心思。他們運用了不同的教學方法，例如小
組討論、學生匯報、個人演說、Kahoot、Quizlet、
Google form等，盡力加強互動元素，讓同學積極
投入課堂。然而網課還有不少限制，也許未能充份
照顧到每一位同學的學習需要。網課要求學生有自
律性和自我管理的能力，但不是每一個學生都能夠
輕易做得到，因此學習成效出現較大的差異。
最近疫情緩和，全體學生已恢復面授課堂。雖然只
是半天課，但同學在課堂中均主動投入，同學們也
珍惜彼此見面的機會。事實上，雖然可以透過網課
繼續讓同學們學習學科上的知識，但有很多其他重
要的學習就只能面對面進行，例如朋輩溝通、師生
關係、領袖訓練與實踐、以及品德與價值教育等。
我期望同學能好好運用面授學習的好處，積極參與
課堂活動和主動向老師提問。學校亦會在可行情況
下逐步恢復一些實體課外的活動，例如外出參觀、
校隊練習及班本活動等，讓學生重投健康愉快的校
園生活。

Amid the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, there
are significant changes to our living. It is a challenge
to the PTA in coping with such changes that may last
a long time.
In response to the situation, the current PTA "moves
with the times". It had organized Zoom online
workshops such as cutting Narcissus bulb, poster
making, etc., and had joined the online interaction
forum during the virtual open days of the school.
What's more, the PTA is continuing its efforts in
innovation, such as organizing an online family cooking
competition, online seminars, getting in touch with more
families of ethnic minorities, etc.
It is the passion of the school staff that the PTA counts
on when trying new modes of operation. Gaining not only
work experiences, I was deeply touched by the active
participation of students and parents and their mutual

Dear Parents,
The College has been contending with myriad challenges throughout
this academic year due to the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic.
Even though the volatile situation has caused numerous disruptions
to our normal routine, such as the arrangements of assessments,
the recurring switches between virtual and face-to-face learning, co-
curricular activities, and Parents’ Day, you parents have been very
cooperative and understanding. I would like to express my heartfelt
gratitude for your support in this difficult period.
During my virtual classroom walkthrough, I was impressed by
our teaching staff for the dedication and effort they have put into
designing their lessons to inspire and thoroughly engage students in their classes.
Teachers have adopted a wide range of interactive teaching techniques such as group
discussions, student presentations, personal speeches, Kahoot, Quizlet, Google Forms,
etc. However, virtual classes, a temporary replacement to traditional lessons, have
highlighted some disadvantages. With the increased physical distance between teachers
and students, teachers may find it difficult to meet specific, diverse educational needs
of learners. Furthermore, the effectiveness of each teaching method may vary with the
differing levels of self-discipline and self-management of individual students.
In view of the easing up of the pandemic restrictions, face-to-face classes have almost
been fully resumed. Although the schooling time is only on a half-day basis, students have
been attentive and engaged in lessons and cherish the time spent with their classmates.
In fact, while online learning offers an alternative to classroom learning for academic
subjects, it is an inadequate substitute for some important learning experiences; such as
the strengthening of bonds between teachers and students, face-to-face interaction with
peers, leadership training and practice, as well as the learning of values, moral education,
etc.
I hope students can make the best use of face-to-face classes by immersing themselves in
in-class activities and approach their teachers whenever they have questions. Activities set
outside of the classroom, such as school outings, school team practice and class-based
activities are also expected to resume, if feasible, in a gradual manner so that students can
return to their normal, healthy and enjoyable school life.
