Language Arts Curriculum
We launched the Language Arts curriculum
in 2019-2020. It is developed in order to
provide opportunities for students to learn the
core values, reflect on their own learning and
achievements and identify their own personal
development targets through different classic
stories and classroom activities. The activities
create a platform for students and teachers to
work together to create an imaginary dramatic
world in which students could explore the

what they have learnt to their own life. Through
activities like role playing, writing in role, thought
tracking, gallery walk and discussions, students

different roles.
It has been a very challenging year for all of us.
We were not able to have as many face-to-face
activities as we would like, but the challenge has
pushed us to ways that would engage students
on another level. Through online platforms, we
were able to extend our teaching and interaction
with students outside of the classroom. Not
only we were able to have more individual

Students express their ideas through art. They introduce
their artworks to their classmates in a pair-work. conversations and feedback with students, but
the online platform has also been turned into a
virtual gallery that showcased students' work for
a longer period of time.

With some background music and a relaxing environment,
students are completely immersed in an activity of creating
a scene in the story.
