share their ideas during the process.
We intentionally launch the Character Building (CB)
lesson which falls under our school-based formal Character Building

session with students, which is the
core part of the CB lessons. During
the briefing session, teachers discuss
with students their process and give
them feedback about their behaviour.
It is an important learning process in
the CB lesson. Students reflect upon
their behaviour and learn from the
experience. Most of them can provide
suggestions of improvement as well. It
is a kind of growth of students to learn

hint cards in an activity. Taking responsibility is not
easy for a child. However, the activities in our CB
lessons encourage them to take their responsibility
and find solutions by themselves. Through the
discussion among students, they find their own
position in a team and clarify their own mission
responsibly. In addition, committing to their mission
is a kind of responsibility to themselves.
