Students scanned the QR code to obtain
information on the relationship between plasma,

blood cells and DNA before class. Teachers
would then explain further in class.
Students learnt about trigonometric function.
They were required to find out the angle of

the spattering of blood by sine ratio in order to
identify the point of injury.
Through the production of a short video clip,
Computer group members played in different roles in the
Literacy “crime”, with one of them being the narrator to
explain the events during the “criminal activity”.
Lai King Catholic Secondary
School modified the teaching
plan of Blood Spatter – Be a
Crime Scene Investigator to a
cross-curricular STEM activity
for F.3 students.
As part of the Computer
Literacy homework, students
were asked to play a drama and 《法證先鋒》 Blood Spatter
make a video clip to explain
the events during the “criminal
activity”.
After the activity, online
multiple-choice exercises and
video clips involving forensic
knowledge were available for
students to study more about
plasma, blood cells and DNA.
This also cultivated the habit
of self-directed learning, and
consolidated their knowledge
acquired in the activity.
