Lingnan Secondary School–
Air Swimmer
Lingnan Secondary School modified
the teaching plan of Air Swimmer and
organized a cross-curricular STEM activity
for F2 students.
The activity involved knowledge in
Integrated Science, Computer Literacy,
Design and Technology and Mathematics,
and aimed at equipping students with
knowledge related to Helium balloon by
ways of self-directed learning and activity-
based learning.
Learning focus:
The density and composition of air were
introduced and a comparison between
Integrated
Science Hydrogen and Helium was made. Students
also learnt about the structure of Air Swimmer
and the principle of remote balloon.
Students wrote an Air Swimmer manual by
using Google Document in a small group. The
