“Okai” everyone! It’s my turn! I’m Mr Leung. I know some of you are “interested”
in my accent! Actually I don’t really mind it because somehow it reflects your
friendliness and sense of humour. Most of you are innocent but can be more
hardworking. You are willing to ask me questions in lessons. It is so encouraging
because it shows that you are eager to learn more, which is a prerequisite to
success. Most of you are quite energetic and have great potential. I can feel
your strong cohesion and great sense of belonging to your class. I think being
a teacher is meaningful because it can change students’ life. It’s touching and
rewarding when seeing them grow up. Moreover, doing meaningful things keeps
me alive, so I know I won’t regret having chosen to be a teacher when I retire. In
Mr Leung Cheuk Man my free time, I like reading and sometimes I go hiking.

Hello everyone! I’m Mr Fong. Because of my great interest in sports, I already
wanted to become a PE teacher when I was a secondary school student. My
PE teacher inspired me a lot and strengthened my determination to pursue the
same aspiration - to share my knowledge and experience with students. I have
taught in schools of different bandings. From my observation, it is not intelligence
that streams students into schools of different bandings, but the attitude, such
as being attentive, obedient, and self-demanding. I think KTGSS students are
very kind, polite and helpful in general, but can be more active and set higher
expectations for yourselves. If I were not a teacher, I would want to be a doctor or
a pilot. But if I could really make my own choice, I would want to explore more of Mr Fong Siu Leung
the world and try different jobs before I pursued my teaching career. I like travelling and photography. On
one hand, I’d like to capture the memories in my life. On the other hand, I think I don’t have much artistic
sense so I want to develop it by learning about photography, such as the composition of a good photo. I
used to be a volleyball player and have regular practices, but after I stopped the training, I have become
less fit. Therefore, I go running or swimming once a week to keep myself healthy.

                                                             English Speaking Day

             Halloween Fun
English is more than just a subject we have to do at school! If
you understand this rationale, then you will understand that
it is impossible for you to learn English only from a textbook.
Similarly, you cannot learn to swim by reading a book on How
to Swim! You must dive into the swimming pool, tread the water
in order to learn how to swim. Hence, our English Club teachers
and members took us to dive into the English-speaking world
by celebrating Halloween with our students. We played games
such as matching games, tongue twisters and hangman.
Students were given an ‘English passport’ at the beginning of
the school year. Please don’t lose this valuable passport to a
world of adventure in the English Language through games and
loads of weekly fun. By gaining enough stickers from the English
game booths on each English speaking day, students will be
rewarded with a merit. These merits build up to make it possible
to redeem great prizes at the end of the year.
