New Teachers
Hi everyone, I’m Ms. Kopman! It is wonderful to meet you all! I find that
students in Hong Kong are well disciplined, friendly and respectful. I love
children so much and I enjoy talking to them! I was born to be a teacher
Ms Diane Kopman and I’ve never regretted becoming a teacher! Education is very important
all around the world. I taught for many years in my home country, South Africa, before moving to
England, Australia, Singapore and Brunei. I have experienced education in all these countries and
have a deep appreciation for learning. This is my first visit to Hong Kong and I think Hong Kong is a
beautiful and exciting place. The local food is very delicious and unique in taste, especially dim sum
and egg tarts. I also like visiting the local bakeries and I usually buy delicious and tasty cakes there.
I am now living in Wong Tai Sin and I plan to visit Disneyland and Ocean Park during the holidays.
During the weekends, I love reading, attending the theatre and outdoor hikes.
I am Mr Fok. I teach History to S2, S3, S5 and S6 students as well as Liberal
Studies to an S4 class. They are adorable and well-behaved. Although some
are less obedient, most are attentive and can perform quite well. The
student leaders here are bright and intelligent. When I was in secondary
school, I met many good teachers and they helped me a lot. Therefore, I
decided to pursue my career in this industry. Teaching has been my only
occupation. If I were not a teacher, I guess I would be a social worker to
help the people in need. In my spare time, I like playing table tennis and
drawing. I participated in some district-wide table tennis competitions
when I was a student in the secondary school and at the university.

Hi! I’m Mr Ip! I think most of you are polite, nice and pleasant but can
spend more time preparing for your study. I want to be a teacher because
I like sharing my knowledge with others. Math is my best subject. I can help
others know more about math and arouse their interest in math. I once
wanted to be a formula one driver because I like racing competitions
and I have a good potential in it. I think I could also be the host of a sport
competition because I am very familiar with the players of the teams.
Besides, I considered being a politician because I wanted to work in the
Legislative Council. I once hurt my junior secondary school peer’s arm by
accident and he was absent for 1.5 months. I visited him and helped him to
study. Finally, his results were satisfactory. After this experience, I am more
Mr Ip Ka Fai careful when playing with others.
