The Balloon Ride in Canada
3A Chan Hoi Yui
In the morning, my mum, my friend’s mom, my friend and I went to Hong
Kong International Airport to get on the plane to Canada. When we got on the
plane, I saw the pilot inside the cockpit getting ready to take off. I looked out
of the window and the plane was slowly moving
forward.
A minute later, the plane was starting to
gather speed so that we could lift off the ground.
After half an hour, we were gliding in the sky.
Eleven hours later, we got off the plane. It was
already ten o’clock at night.
The next day in the early morning, we took
a balloon to a big field. First, we checked the
balloon for holes. Then my mom started the
burner. At last we all carefully got into the balloon and waited for it to rise. The
air inside the balloon started to heat up.
When we were high in the sky, we could almost touch the clouds. The
buildings were scrapping, the sky looked like trees and the real trees looked
like ants. Even the river looked like a tiny blue ribbon.
After the balloon landed, we went for lunch. We all ate different things. I ate
spaghetti with meatballs. After a few days, we took the plane home. It was a
good trip.
