Mangkhut
What a super typhoon, Mangkhut,
Knocking down trees from leaves to root.
So windy like a hurricane,
No cars, no men in the rain.
We stayed at home from school and work.
Lots of buildings were heavily hurt.
Windows full of duct tape crosses,
They better start buying insurance for losses.
Cousins’ place stopped power and water,
They are all suffering from hunger.
Neither could they have a shower,
Unless they walk down from their tower.
Who says it’s raining cats and dogs,
I say they are bulls and hogs!
Following the storm, roads are blocked,
Leaving the people with no transport.
Hours of queuing for a bus,
Going back to work is a must.
Janitors and students clear the mess,
Lucky are we in DBS!
