The Murder

My name is John. I am a university student studying criminal law, and I am a witness of a
murder.
That night, I was having dinner with my friends. We were laughing at each other’s jokes
when a crying girl walked out and slammed the restaurant door. A few minutes later, an angry
boy ran out of the door hurriedly. We didn’t really care about the boy and the girl. So we kept
telling jokes and ate.
Suddenly, we heard screams outside the restaurant. The screams were so shrill that they
pierced our ears. We were shocked to hear screams on a peaceful evening like that. After the
screams had stopped, everybody gasped. A few of the startled diners dropped their utensils in
shock.
We walked out of the restaurant to check out what had happened. I was horrified to see a
dead body lying there. I phoned the police and they came immediately.
This was an unpleasant and terrifying experience. I never want to face this kind of tragic
event ever again.
