As English Department has run study tours to Sydney for more than 10 years, we
have established constant connection with the people there. In the trip this summer,
we visited our sister school, Broughton Anglican College, in Campelltown, Sydney.
At the same time, we also grabbed the chance to catch up with our alumnus who
chose to study in Australia after the study tour.
1 Zandra Ng, an alumnus
in 2016, joins us to tour
around the city. She studies
in Sydney preparing for her
university entrance exam.
We have a good time
1 catching up with her.
2-3 We pay a visit to Broughton
Anglican College in one
morning during the trip. We
treasure the partnership
and friendship we have
gained. We have morning
tea with their Principal, Mr
Don O’Connor, and Deputy
Principal, Miss Carol
Kennedy. We also take the
opportunity to catch up with
2 3 a host to our teacher in the
past, Miss Alanna O’Brien.
Conclusion
Reviewing the activities and the whole schedule
of the study tour, we feel grateful for the time we
had in Sydney this summer. To both students and
teachers, it’s a precious learning opportunity. We
work to provide an authentic environment for our
students to use English and boost their confidence.
We also work to establish a stronger connection
between STCC and the schools there. It’s important
for us to develop a global mindset, isn’t it? Looking
at the pictures here, do you want to join us next
year? Stay tuned.
