2. English Visits: AFS Intercultural Fair & SAA
In November, exchange students from all around
the world gathered in the fair and showcased their
unique cultural experiences. Through playing games
and chatting with foreign students, they had no
doubt grasped a deeper understanding of cultures
of various countries. Also, in July, 12 students took
part in an English tour to SSA. They had the chance
to have close contact with the abandoned dogs and
cats. This visit helped raise students’ awareness on
animal conservation.

3. Drama Performance
Our NET led a group of energetic students to perform a play called Voices. Through interpreting and acting out
a drama text, students were more engaged in learning and speaking English. The team had prepared for the
drama for 3 months, starting from writing scripts to props, and their performance had lived up to expectations
and gained a big round of applause.

4. English Fun Fair
English Fun Fair provided an opportunity for students
to exhibit their creativity, scheming and production
skills. Each class had to create a game stall that
incorporated various English language domains. Under
the supervision of English teachers, all classes did a
splendid work. By being fully immersed in the fun fair,
all junior form students experienced joy and learned
English at the same time.

5. Public Speaking Contest
One of our students took part in a public speaking contest organized
by Hong Kong Baptist University. Besides enhancing her English
proficiency, she has definitely gained the experience of delivering a
speech in front of a large group of audience. Also, by listening to the
contestants’ speeches, about 40 students, as the audience, had learnt the
skills for public speaking and known more about the current issues in
our society.
