Alex’s Dream

6B Chow Lok Man

One day, Eva and Alex chatted about their dream jobs. 'What do you want to
be when you grow up, Eva?' asked Alex. 'I want to be a chef when I grow up. How

about you?' replied Eva. Alex answered happily, 'I want to be an astronaut so that
I can walk on the moon.'

That night, Alex went to bed and dreamt about being an astronaut. In his

dream, he said, 'Being an astronaut is so fun!' He started to look around. He
saw an amazing view of the stars. Alex was very glad. Suddenly, an ugly and

disgusting alien flew fast over Alex. 'What's that?' said Alex. Then the alien fell
from nowhere and started to chase Alex! 'Ha, ha, ha! I want to eat you!' cried the

alien. 'Ah! Help! The alien is going to eat me!' shouted Alex. The alien was green.
It had big eyes and eight long arms. It looked like an octopus! Alex was scared. He

thought, 'Being an astronaut is hard!
I need to be fit so that I can run fast. I

also need to be brave so that I can deal
with different difficulties.'

Suddenly, he heard a ringing

noise. It was the alarm clock! He woke

up and thought about his dream. He
said, 'I will work hard to become an
astronaut!' Alex learnt that he should

be brave and work out more so that he

can be fit for his dream job.
