An Embarrassing Misunderstanding

One day, Max saw a woman opening his neighbour's window. She was in
a black T-shirt and with a pair of sunglasses. Max thought that she was a thief.
Then, he called the police and said, 'There is a thief!' The police officer said, 'Ok,
we are coming.'
After that, the police officers came and caught the woman. The woman felt
confused, so she said, 'What is going on? Why do you arrest me?' One police
officer explained, 'Since you want to break into a private place, we arrest you!'
She said, 'Wait, I am not a thief!' Suddenly, Max recalled his memory. The woman
was his neighbour. He felt embarrassed. The woman said, 'I have forgotten my
key, so I need to break the window to get into my flat.'
Max said sorry to the woman. At
the same time, he saw a man escape
from another neighbour's flat. He
knew that he should observe the man
carefully. Was he the real thief?
