Last Sunday, Mary felt very bored. So, she asked her
dad, ‘Shall we go to the beach?’ Dad said ‘Mum! Good idea!’
Mary and mum were looking forward to going to the beach.
When they were ready to go out, it suddenly rained.
They cried loudly, ‘Oh no!’
Then, Dad had an idea. He suggested to play card
games at home. Mary said, ‘Great! It is a good idea’.
Therefore, they enjoyed their time at home and played
card game. Later, when they were playing the games, Mary
shouted, ‘Yeah! I win’ Mary felt glad.
Although, Mary’s family could not go to the beach
today, they were happy that they could still spend their time
together. They cherished the moment and thought it was a
good weekend.

5D Tseng Man Yan, Gordon

Tiffany is my best friend. She is always well behaved. She always arrives early at
school. She’s never late. She is a very punctual person.
Yesterday, she waited patiently at the bus stop with her mum for school. When the
bus arrived, Tiffany got on the bus and found a seat. After she sat down, she waved
goodbye to her mum.
Then an old lady named Mrs. Chan got on the bus. She was carrying a heavy bag
and the bus was crowded. She got squashed and fell down crying in pain. The man
next to Mrs. Chan pretended that he was sleeping and ignored Mrs. Chan. The man
behaved selfishly and cunningly. Tiffany was mad.
Eventually, Tiffany helped Mrs. Chan to pick up her heavy bag and offered her a
seat. Mrs. Chan said, ‘Thank you for your kindness’ with a smile and gave Tiffany a big
hug.
Tiffany is the most understanding person I have ever known, I hope I can be like
her by helping those who are also in need.
